<\/span>What is vaginoplasty?<\/span><\/h2>\n

Vaginoplasty is a surgical procedure performed to provide aesthetic and functional improvements in the female genital area. It aims to increase the tightness and structural integrity of the vagina.<\/p>\n

Due to childbirth, aging, sexual activity, and other factors, vaginal tissues may loosen and sag. Vaginoplasty aims to correct these conditions and is a procedure performed to restore the tightness of vaginal tissues.<\/p>\n

This procedure is performed by tightening the muscles in the vaginal walls and removing excess tissue. Vaginoplasty can enhance sexual function and sensation, provide a more aesthetic appearance in the genital area, and boost the individual's self-confidence. The duration of the surgery and the healing process may vary depending on the extent of the procedure and the patient's condition.<\/p>\n

<\/span>How is vaginoplasty performed?<\/span><\/h2>\n

During vaginoplasty surgery, which reconstructs the vagina and significantly improves its function, the following steps are followed:<\/p>\n

Anesthesia:<\/strong> First, the patient is given general anesthesia. This way, the patient does not feel any pain or discomfort during the procedure.<\/p>\n

Incision:<\/strong> One or more incisions are made on the posterior vaginal wall and the perineal area (the tissue between the vagina and anus). This allows access to the tissues and muscles.<\/p>\n

Muscle tightening:<\/strong> The loosened muscles in the vaginal walls are tightened and brought together. This reduces the internal diameter of the vagina and increases its tightness.<\/p>\n

Removal of excess tissue:<\/strong> After the tightening procedure, excess tissue and mucosa (the tissue lining the inner surface of the vaginal wall) are removed.<\/p>\n

Stitches:<\/strong> The incisions made are stitched, and the inside and outside of the vagina are properly closed. Absorbable stitches are usually used, which means they can dissolve on their own without the need for removal.<\/p>\n

Recovery process:<\/strong> After the procedure is completed, the patient is observed for a while and then sent home. The recovery period can last from several weeks to several months depending on the patient\u2019s condition and the extent of the surgery.
