IVF Treatment: Short and Clear!

If you are considering IVF treatment, this video is your complete guide.
What it is, how it’s done, success rates, and even the cost — I’ll explain it all.

The main principle of IVF is bringing the egg and sperm together in a laboratory environment, and transferring a healthy developing embryo into the uterus.

The first step is an individual assessment for both partners: ultrasound examination, hormone testing, sperm analysis, and a hysterosalpingogram to map out a personalized plan.

Medication starts on the second day of the menstrual cycle. The ovaries are stimulated for about 9–10 days. Afterwards, the eggs are collected under mild anesthesia, and the partner provides a sperm sample the same day.

Embryos are observed in the lab for up to five days. Depending on the treatment strategy, a fresh or frozen embryo transfer is performed. Genetic testing may be used to select the healthiest embryos.

Success rates are closely linked to the woman’s age and ovarian reserve.
When all factors align, the pregnancy rate for a chromosomally normal embryo transfer can reach up to 70%.

The overall cost varies by clinic, treatment plan, and timing. It typically includes:
1️⃣ Medical services
2️⃣ Laboratory procedures
3️⃣ Medications
4️⃣ Genetic testing, when required
